Indian Winter

It's a horrible day here in Glasgow. Rain, cold, dark. You'd think by now I'd be used to it but somehow one never is. This morning's post brought an interesting catalogue of janatorial supplies, easily the best thing I've had this week. It's buy one get one free week on metal slatboard prongs!

Thoughts turn to warmer days - last Year's Indian Summer Festival. As the time of year is now upon us when the major festivals publish their line ups, I thought to search for this year's Indian Summer line up. Instead I found this blog http://ttssglasgow.blogspot.com/ and these pictures

Which have upset me. Why? Well, ten minutes later my friend Stevie took this

And yet despite our fancy duds and the sheer mental effort that went into growing that beard, no-one took a picture of us for their Blog . Bah!

This year's Indian Summer is rumoured to be down at Glasgow Green - an unwelcome change in my view but one forced upon the organisers because of the damage done to the Victoria Park's green sward. I hope they get a different stage at least, the usual one at the Green is so high it hurts yer neck to look. There seems to be a variety of opinions as to who will headline. In the aftermath of the Flaming Lips "reduce everyone to tears of helpless joy" performance last year,it's hard to see who could top them ...my vote goes to Tom Waits but I've heard Sparks and also Joni Mitchell. Wishes, just wishes.
